What likeu is

likeu is a platform for people who carry something they can't easily talk about. When you talk to Dora, what you share becomes your profile and helps us find people who carry similar things.

What we collect

When you have a conversation with Dora, we collect:

• Your conversation messages
• Insights extracted from the conversation (themes, needs, language patterns)
• Your email address, if you choose to share it
• A random session ID (not tied to your identity)

When you use a room, we also collect:

• Posts, reactions, and comments you create
• Engagement signals — which posts you viewed, how long you spent on them, when you opened the composer or Dora
• Dora room conversations — including AI-generated engagement scores and intent classifications for each message, used to improve how Dora helps people find the right words
• Session-level data — whether you posted after talking to Dora, how many times you opened Dora, what page you were on when you asked for help

We do not collect your name, location, IP address, or any device identifiers. Room engagement data is never shared with your match or visible to other users.

How we use it

• To build your profile from what you shared
• To find people who carry similar things and match you with them
• To shape the features, safety systems, and community guidelines we build
• To notify you when we've found a match (only if you share your email)
• To improve Dora — we analyze engagement patterns and conversation quality in rooms to make Dora more helpful at supporting people who are figuring out what to say

The likeu team reads Dora conversations to find matches and understand what people need. Your conversation is never published, never sold, and never shared outside the team. We share data only with the service providers described below, who process it on our behalf.

AI and data processing

Dora is AI — she's powered by conversation technology from Anthropic. When you talk to Dora, your messages are processed securely. Here's what that means:

• Anthropic does not use API data to train their models
• Anthropic does not retain your messages after processing — API inputs and outputs are not stored
• We extract structured insights (themes, needs, patterns) at the end of each conversation and store them in our database
• In rooms, each Dora message is analyzed for engagement level and intent (using a lightweight AI classifier) so we can understand what kinds of conversations lead to people finding the words they need. These signals are stored alongside your conversation.
• Your conversation is not reviewed by any human at Anthropic — only automated safety systems

Your messages are not stored by Anthropic beyond the moment they are processed.

Service providers

We use the following services to operate likeu. Each processes data on our behalf:

• Anthropic — powers Dora's conversation via Claude. Processes your messages. Does not train on your data or retain it.
• Supabase (hosted on AWS) — stores your conversation, extracted insights, and email if provided.
• Vercel — hosts the likeu website. Collects anonymous usage analytics (page views, not personal data).
• Resend — sends email notifications if you share your email address.

We do not sell data to any of these providers or anyone else.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US). Access is restricted to the likeu team. We use row-level security policies and service-role authentication to protect your data.

Sensitive data

We understand that what you share with Dora may be deeply personal. We treat all conversation data as sensitive by default. We do not categorize or label you based on what you share. We do not require you to disclose anything you're not comfortable with. If you share something you later regret, email us and we will delete it.

Information about others

During your conversation with Dora, you may share information about other people — for example, a child, a family member, or someone you care about. We treat any information about third parties with the same sensitivity as your own data. We do not contact, identify, or build profiles on people you mention. If you share information about a minor, that information is used only to understand your experience and what kind of support or connection you need — never to build a profile of the minor. Your rights

• You can stop the conversation at any time
• You can choose not to share your email
• You can request deletion of all your data — conversations, profiles, room posts, engagement data, and Dora sessions — by emailing us at privacy@likeuapp.com

Safety and crisis disclosure

If a conversation with Dora touches on active danger, self-harm, or abuse, Dora will provide crisis resources. When this happens, that session is flagged for team review.

If someone discloses active abuse or harm to a child, we may be legally required to report it to the appropriate authorities. If this happens, we will only share the minimum information required. See our Terms of Use for more detail.

Under 18

likeu is for people 18 and older. If you're under 18 and you've already started a conversation with Dora, please email us at hello@likeuapp.com. We'll handle it respectfully.

Some pages on likeu link to external organizations and crisis resources (such as RAINN, NCMEC CyberTipline, and the 988 Lifeline). We provide these links because they may be helpful, but we do not control those websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
